Shortwave Report: The Voice of Greece - 9420 khz

The announcer said, "You are listening to the voice of Greece."

The transmitter is located in Avlida-Avlis, Greece which is approximately 5,170 miles from high atop Green Tree Hill and the Green Tree Water Tower.

I've been listening to the music for about a half hour. I can report a very good signal on the Sangean ATS-909X2.

UTC 3:27/ 11:27pm - Tha Paro Volta Ta Vouna - George Konitopoulos

Very enjoyable broadcast.

Shortwave Report: Mighty KBC Radio - 9925 khz

The Mighty KBC is out of Nauen, Germany broadcasting on 9925 khz and playing oldies.

The Nauen transmitter is 4,189 miles away from high atop Green Tree Hill and the Green Tree Water Tower. I pulled in the Mighy KBC on the Sangean ATS-909X2 in the basement with the telescopic antenna.

1:22 UTC/ 9:22pm - Loud and clear.

Partial playlist:

1:23 UTC/ 9:23pm - Driver's Seat - Sniff 'N' The Tears

1:27 UTC/ 9:27pm - You Lied To Me - The Uniques

1:34 UTC/ 9:35pm- My Bucket's Got A Hole In It - Sonny Burgess

1:50 UTC/ 9:50pm- Love Machine - The Politician

There was a song the DJ said was from 1960 which sounded familiar. I couldn't make out what the DJ said the song was but it reminded me of maybe an old Porky Chedwick tune. The Shazam app didn't recognize it.

Missed some songs but the broadcast ended at 2:00 UTC/ 10:00pm.
